The Broker - What It Is
TabTrade opened in March 2026. Trading platform registered in Saint Lucia, under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection tells you something. It means the founder knows how a proper broker operates. That is not a guarantee. It is better than someone with no brokerage experience.
The broker opened with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. The typical new launch leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.
What you can trade: forex, indices, metals, commodities, shares, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. 1,000+. For a platform that is a few months old, that range is broad.
Platforms
You get: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both platforms from a single account. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both matters. You are not locked into one.
MT5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, huge user base. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform before, it is familiar territory.
cTrader is the cleaner option. Better depth of market. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 after comparing.
FIX API is available for automated strategies but is only on the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is reportedly on the roadmap. That would make the platform set when it arrives.
What You Pay
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often a fraction of a pip. Meaning your real cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is good for an offshore broker. Most platforms that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. TabTrade has no minimum.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, faster fills, tailored rates. Not relevant to most retail traders. Skip it unless you move real size.
Infrastructure
This is where TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers quote 100ms to 300ms.
Does it matter? For short-term trading, absolutely. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That signals something about priorities.
Combine that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the overall offering holds up. Not many platforms at this price point offer execution like this.
Safety
Now, the detail that matters. Tab Trade is regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No CySEC. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. There are FCA-regulated options out there.
However. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Scam brokers do not pay for tier-1 data centre access. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. But be part of your decision.
The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether this deal works is your call.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade offers a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Usual deposit match. You put money in, TabTrade credit extra capital. Standard terms apply: turnover conditions before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before you commit.
