Tab Trade - The Short Version
Tab Trade opened in Q1 2026. Trading platform registered in Saint Lucia, under Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, a New Zealand-regulated broker.
His background tells you something. It says the leadership knows how a proper broker operates. That is not a guarantee. Still better than someone with no brokerage experience.
TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres institutional desks use. Most new brokers starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.
The instrument list: forex, indices, gold, silver, commodities, equities, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a broker that launched in March 2026, the breadth is solid.
Platforms
You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both platforms from the same login. Most brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both is useful. You are not locked into one.
MT5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, EAs, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have used MetaTrader before, it is familiar territory.
cTrader is the more modern one. Better DOM. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. Many people like it better than MT5 after using both.
Direct FIX connectivity is available for automated strategies but is only on the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is reportedly in the works. That should be a good addition when it lands.
Costs
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Works for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost can sit under half a pip. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. This broker requires zero deposit.
VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, custom pricing. Not for most retail traders. Ignore this one unless you run serious volume.
Execution Speed
This is where TabTrade actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. The average platform quote 100ms to 300ms.
Should you care? For short-term trading, absolutely. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you trade higher timeframes, it matters less. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That signals what kind of broker this is.
Combine that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package holds up. Few brokers in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.
Regulation
Here is the part that requires honesty. TabTrade is under Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. There are tier-1 alternatives out there.
That said. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Dodgy operations do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. This does not guarantee anything. It does factor into your assessment.
What you are accepting: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it depends on you.
